Enterprise Tech 30, 2022

Earlier today Wing Venture Capital released their annual list of the enterprise startups bringing leading exciting transformation across verticals! The list is broken down into early-, mid-, and late-stage companies, and is voted on by more than 22 teams from many of the world’s largest technology companies. Congratulations to the startups and founders from across the Redpoint portfolio who made this year’s list!

1. Hex

Data Science| Redpoint invested: Series A

Barry McCardel, Glen Takahashi, and Caitlin Colgrove

Hex is a tool for data scientists and the citizen data scientist, offering a more cohesive online notebook with better interoperability and shareability. Users can more easily bring in and format data (including a handy drag-and-drop feature) and collaborate with their team members in the same place where the work is happening. We partnered with Hex in 2021 when we led the company’s Series A. Users love it, so it’s no surprise Hex is growing fast — and is on a hiring spree, with a focus on building a diverse team.

2. Monte Carlo

DataOps/Data Science| Redpoint invested: Series B

Founders: Barr Moses and Lior Gavish

Data reliability is a concern for any data scientists — without it, insights can’t be trusted. That’s why Moses and Gavish built the industry’s first end-to-end data observability platform. It uses machine learning to prevent data downtime, track the health of users’ data, and provide insights into the importance and impact of each asset. When issues do arise, Monte Carlo helps users resolve them faster with root cause analysis and troubleshooting guidance. The startup has continued to build on its functionality since Redpoint Ventures co-led their Series B last year, and we’re excited to watch this all-star team take on a market that’s seeing astronomical demand.

3. LaunchDarkly

Software Development | Redpoint invested: Series B

Founders: Edith Harbaugh and John Kodumal

LaunchDarkly is the feature management platform that helps software teams reduce risk across the CI/CD pipeline. LaunchDarkly spells the end of planning extra time for the inevitable crash — it’s no wonder software development teams around the world love it! A host of household names including Atlassian, SAP, NBC, Intuit, and Ryan Air use it to test, iterate, and deploy their software with confidence. We first partnered with LaunchDarkly for their Series B in 2017, and have had a front row seat to the rapid growth a well-designed, much-needed tool can enjoy ever since.

4. Stripe

FinTech | Redpoint invested: Series B

Founders: John and Patrick Collison

These days, Stripe needs no introduction. More than a decade ago, Stripe knew that internet-based businesses of all sizes needed more than just a payments platform. Stripe created a payments infrastructure that included embedded compliance, fraud prevention, and business management tools — and worked across devices, entity types, and locations. In 2012, we knew Stripe was doing something no other startup could match, so we became investors in their Series B. Fast-forward to today, and Business Insider dubs it one of the most anticipated IPOs of 2022.

Congratulations founders and teams on this great achievement!
